DTI Washers

Direct Tension Indicating Washers, DTI Washers, Squirter Washers, are single use mechanical load cells used to indicate when the required tension has been achieved in structural fastener assemblies. The DTI washer is installed under another washer, either under the head of the bolt or the nut. When the specified tightening torque has been reached, the DTI washer compresses and some colored material squeezes out from under the washer to provide a visal check.
